Get Rid of Acne With These Home Remedies

There are many approaches to curing acne, ranging from home remedies to drugs prescribed by a dermatologist. While getting a prescription may be necessary if you have a severe case, you can often successfully treat this condition at home using simple and inexpensive products. These remedies are effective and inexpensive. Hopefully you will see some dramatic improvement in your skin after giving these remedies a try.

Follicles become blocked with sebum (naturally occurring oils on the skin) which results in an acne blemish. Many treatments are available to help treat acne. One effective way of getting acne under control is to detoxify the body. Diet and exercise are the basis behind detoxifying the body. Toxins are released through sweat. While doing a detox, plan on doing some strenuous exercise. You can also use a steam room at your local gym or a spa to help release toxins from the body. Finally, when exercising and detoxing, you should also drink sufficient quantities of water.

Naturally eating unhealthy fats is not good for your health or body either. Reduce the amount of saturated fats in your diet. These are the type of fats which are solid at room temperature and are derived from animals, such as milk, cheese, beef, etc. On the other hand Hydrogenated fats, which lead to heart disease should be avoided. There are some healthy fats which may actually help heal your acne. These healthy fats include, flax seeds, olive oil, and fish oils. Oils for the most part should be avoided. It's possible to prevent acne blemishes and heal the blemishes you have by taking vitamins and minerals. Taking Zinc and Vitamin A are great for anyone with skin issues. When taken on a regular basis the will help prevent scars from forming and reduce inflammation. Fish oil, or Omega-3, is another supplement, which will help your skin. Fish oil contains many antibacterial properties. One of the easier ways to get Omega-3 into your diet is to take fish oil supplements which may contain, krill and cod liver oil. Digestion also plays a role in your skins overall health. Consider taking helpful supplements for digestion such as, acidophilus and probiotics. These supplements will help your body process the foods you eat with more efficiency. Prevent acne from developing and cure the acne breakouts you currently!

Tea tree oil is another home remedy used to treat acne. It contains an antimicrobial substance called terpinen-4 that can help with many skin problems and is therefore something that should be used if you have acne. Tea tree oil should never been applied full strength to the skin. Tea tree oil needs to be diluted. Mix 95% water with 5% tea tree oil. Another option to diluting tea tree oil would be to add a little to your favorite skin care products you already own. You can also find tea tree oil already in products, such as facial washes. You can find such products at the pharmacy, natural foods stores and online.

Home remedies for acne are effective. If you currently have a bunch of blemishes you may be wanting to try as many home remedies as you can to get rid of acne fast. Take a scientific approach to treating acne. Try one home remedy at a time, then evaluate if the remedy was effective or not. Regardless of what home remedy you are going to try first, you should still eat a balanced diet with fresh fruits and vegetables, get daily exercise, drink plenty of water, and do some sort of daily skin care routine. If you are trying acne remedies from your local pharmacy or herbal treatments, be sure to try just one thing at a time. If you are doing 12 different things to treat acne, you won't be able to tell what is working.

Therefore over exposure to the sun's rays may actually make your acne even worse! For overall health, getting some sunshine is actually good for you and your whole body. Unless you have a medical reason to avoid the sun, the sun should not be completely avoided. So to wrap it up, sunshine is not an acne cure, so do not sun bath for hours and hours in hopes of curing your acne problems.

Acne can vary from person to person in regard to the severity and the type. What is clear is that each person will find a slightly different acne cure than the other. By staying healthy, and keeping your skin clean and moisturized, you'll more than likely not develop acne.
