Acne outbreaks can lead to stress, depression, and an avoidance of social activities. But controlling outbreaks does not need to be a time consuming or complicated task. Clean your telephone regularly to prevent built up oil or debris from transferring to your skin. Drink as little soda and sugary juices as possible. There is so much sugar found in soda and sugary juices that you want to avoid them altogether. If you want a good beverage, you want to stick to water for refreshment or healthy teas that can provide antioxidants and other vitamins that are useful. Natural juice is a good choice, as well.

Stress is closely related to acne. When you are under stress your body produces a hormones such as cortisol. These hormones can trigger skin irritations and in turn cause acne. It is not easy to stay away from all stresses, but you can learn to deal with stress in a more productive way.

If you suffer from acne be sure to not let sweat linger on your skin. When you exercise wipe sweat away regularly. Sweat in your oil pores is the perfect environment for bacteria to grow, which will get your white blood cells going to the area to fight it, which will then lead to a new pimple.

Consider an oil-free, non-acnegenic moisturizer to help you battle dry skin on your entire body without causing pimples to appear. The best time to apply moisturizer is as soon as you step out of the tub or shower. Because your skin already has water all over it, using the moisturizer will lock it in.

Although the sun IS great for our health, giving us the ability to create Vitamin D, it can be horribly damaging to our skin. The sun shoots out a variety of types of radiation which can literally damage the outer and inner layers of skin, giving an opening for acne to take over. Stay out of direct sunlight to keep pimples away.

The simplest and best way to prevent your skin from breaking out is to wash your face twice a day, and try to keep your hands off your face. Touching your face with your hands transfers dirt and grime to you're the surface of your skin which will add bacteria and causes acne.

Don't be too quick to squeeze, pop, or even mess with your acne spots. You don't want to leave permanent damage, nor do you want to spread the acne further. If you are using a face cleanser or a doctor prescribed medication, you want to stick to cleaning diligently and avoid messing with your breakouts.

If you're using a home remedy or doctor prescribed acne cream, make sure to use it on your whole face. These treatments are not just to clear up the acne you already have, but will also assist in preventing new pimples from appearing. Don't forget to use it on your neck, too!

Don't lack acne ruin your life. When people have a lot of acne on there face, they often feel very self conscious and don't enjoy being around other people. There is no reason for you too feel this way. Acne should not stop you from doing the things that you enjoy. Remember, your acne will always look worse to you when you study your own reflection under bright lights than what it looks like to other people.
