Useful Holistic Cures To Forehead Pimples

By Eugene Yeng

There are a host of natural remedies to forehead acne that help to clear acne while reducing inflammation and scarring. Acne can be a very embarrassing condition that is often accompanied by itchy, inflamed skin. The skin is usually excessively oily and the sebum filled pustules are most often the cause of a hormonal imbalance and improper cleansing techniques.

The body produces more skin cells than it can discard and the excess begins to clog the pores, causing an infection which results in the formation of the skin condition. A thorough cleansing routine that utilizes good quality products to cleanse, tone and moisturize the skin can aid in the defence against pimples.

Cleanse, tone and moisturize with products that are suited to problem skins. Follow your cleansing routine at least twice daily to ensure a healthy, clean skin. Most important of all, refrain from touching your skin with your hands, as bacteria on the hands will be transferred to your skin. Also refrain from squeezing the skin in an attempt to extract the sebum lodged deep in the pores. This will only lead to long-term damage.

Oily hair and hair full of styling products can exacerbate a skin condition when constantly in contact. Wash your hair regularly to reduce its oiliness and if you are set on putting products in your hair, use a broad headband to keep your hair off your face while applying. This simple precaution can dramatically improve the appearance of pimples.

Lemon juice contains an effective anti-bacterial agent that is great for the treatment of pimples. The addition of a little rose water will aid in soothing particularly sensitive skins. When applied to the forehead for pimples it is particularly good at assisting with the reduction of scar tissue while aiding the healing of existing pimples.

Fullers earth powder comes highly recommended for alleviating pimples. It can be mixed into a thick paste by using a little rose water and then leaving it on the skin for ten to fifteen minutes. Rinse off with more rose water to leave the skin feeling smooth and pampered.

Sandalwood can be ground into a paste using a stone mortar and pestle. This paste can be mixed with equal parts honey, cucumber juice, rose water or lemon juice, adding a little turmeric powder for good measure. Applied regularly, your skin takes on a bright, smooth appearance as the natural ingredients soothe and heal your skin.

High doses of Zinc have been proven to reduce pimples by strengthening the immune system and aiding with faster healing. The dose should be about one hundred and fifty milligrams of Zinc per day, though it should be noted that some more sensitive individuals may find that they are affected with abdominal cramping. To reduce this risk, always take this mineral with your meals.

Tea tree oil is another one of those natural remedies to forehead acne that can be applied directly to your skin. It has powerful anti-bacterial properties which are great for ensuring that your skin is clean and bacteria free, preventing future acne outbreaks.
