Different Methods Of Hair Removal

By Anne Miles

Many people face the issue of unwanted hair and struggle to get results even after experimenting with various techniques of hair removal. Many factors such as the location and amount of hair growth, your skin sensitivity and your skin type can decide the hair removal method most appropriate for you.

The most commonly used method of hair removal is shaving. It is inexpensive and effective, but it is short-term and needs to be done on a regular basis to maintain a smooth look. For example, men shave their beards every day. Shaving is also suitable for ridding areas such as chest or legs of hair.

Waxing body hair is another option. It is a messy procedure that can generally not be done at home without outside assistance. The benefit of waxing is that the hair is pulled out from the root, and it takes twelve to fifteen days to reappear, ensuring freedom from unwanted hair for a longer time. But keep in mind that waxing is a painful process of hair removal and should not be done on sensitive body parts.

The third method is making use of a hair removal cream, which is simple to apply and can be used without anyone's assistance. It is a pain-free process, but the results don't last as long as those of waxing. There is further danger of rashes being caused on the skin as a result of the chemicals present in the cream.

Those who have unbalanced hair growth on their bodies can opt for hair transplant from the areas with more growth to the parts with lesser growth. This procedure is complicated and must only be attempted if no other alternatives are available.

Lastly, laser hair removal treatment can be opted for, but it is very expensive. Everlasting freedom from hair is the best advantage of laser treatment. However it should be conducted by a trained professional in order to avoid accidents and skin injury.
