Natural Skin Care Products are a Gentle Approach to Scar Healing

By Clarita Milles

Scars can be treated in number of different ways. Surgical intervention is a great way of getting rid of large scars; however, should you treat smaller scars with the same type of intervention?

Truth is that smaller scars require a different type of treatment, and this is where natural scar treatment products come in. There are two natural products that can promote scar tissue healing and wound healing safely and effectively. These two ingredients are snail serum and rose hip oil.

Scar Treatments

For centuries this product has been used to deal with skin problems. In the time of Hippocrates, snail serum was mixed with donkey's milk to treat acne. It was even used successfully for the treatment of small pox and measles.

Burns were also treated with this natural product. Since snail serum absorbs quickly, it helped reduce the pain and burning sensation that accompanies several inflammatory skin disorders. Even now, this product is used to treat these skin problems.

Another helpful benefit gained when using snail serum extract is the disappearance of scar tissue. Snail serum is a complex compound made up of peptides, enzymes, and co-enzymes. This wondrous combination helps correct cellular communication and reduces scars.

Snail serum is absorbed and sent immediately to the site of the injury. Once there they begin to "dissolve" damaged and dying cells into amino acids. The damaged area is quickly replaced with the appearance of healthy new skin cells.

Rose Hip Oil for Scar Treatment

Rose hip oil is another natural ingredient that has a long history of treating skin care problems. Indigenous tribes would extract this ingredient from a shrub known as rosa moschata and use it to treat dry skin, eczema, irritation, and scars.

The importance of this ingredient is still present today when many people use it to treat burn scars, dry skin, hyperpigmentation, stretch marks, and acne scars. Its success lies in the fact that it is rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin C and essential fatty acids. All these components are vital for maintaining skin health.

Vitamin A is important because it is an element that has proven to help delay the effects of skin aging, assist with cellular regeneration, and promote collagen and elastin levels to increase. All of which are essential if you're worried about healing scars.
