10. Aspirin Coffee Mask

Aspirin is a known acne fighter due to its content of acetylsalicylic acid which is able to penetrate deep into follicles and melt in the sebum that causes acne increase. Aspirin is a fantastic anti inflammatory so it works to reduce rosiness and swelling from acne. This mask mixes aspirin with coffee to tighten skin and warm honey to ease and even skin. Notice that aspirin dries skin and can be an irritant to the skin so moisturize after removing the mask and do not use if you have particularly irritable skin.

Supplies:

1-3 aspirin capsules

Warm honey (runny honey)

Moisturizer made for the face or natural oil such as almond, olive or coconut

To Prepare:

Depending on the quantity of coverage needed, use 1-3 aspirin tablets. Crush the aspirin into little pieces using a morter and pestle (if you do not have a morter and pestle try rolling a glass over aspirin). Place aspirin in a shallow dish.



Combine in one or two drops of water to help the aspirin melt into a paste.



Add warm honey, moisturizer or and/or a bit of oil (almond, olive or coconut works). Stir well.

Apply as a mask and allow to dry. Wash off after 10 minutes. Pat dry and proceed with a moisturizer.

9. Strawberry Acne Blast

This mask does a few things that will make your face happy. The salicylic acid in the strawberries removes oil and dust from your skin and cuts into the increase that causes acne. The honey and sour cream or yogurt melt skin and leave it feeling clean and smooth.

Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup ripe strawberries
- 1 tablespoon organic honey
- 1 tablespoon sour cream or plain unflavored yogurt, with active cultures

Instructions:

Warm up the honey until it begins to becomes liquidy by placing it in the microwave for 30 seconds.

Put strawberries, honey and cream/yogurt in a blender or Kenwood and mix well until smooth.

Spread the mix slowly and uniformly with a cloth or spatula on your clean face and neck; keep the eye area clear.

Leave mask on for 20 minutes and remove with cold water; pat your skin dry with a clean cloth.

8. Green Clay Monster Mask

Clay masks are great for removing oil and excess moisture from the skin, and debatably the best clay to use is green clay. It also exfoliates skin leaving it silky smooth. You can pick up a basic green clay (a. K. A bentonite clay) from your local health-food store. The clay comes in powder form. Add water if you have greasy skin, jojoba oil if you have dry skin or milk for combo skin to create a workable mask.

Ingredients:

A basic fuller's earth clay, AKA bentonite or green

1 tsp honey

water (greasy skin), milk (blend skin) or jojoba oil (dry skin)

Optional: your favourite concentrated oil

Instructions:

Blend 2 parts liquid to 1 part clay.

Choose your liquid based totally on your skin type. If you have greasy skin, choose water. Combo skin, choose milk or half and half and if you have dry skin, opt for jojoba oil.

Combine in a bit of honey.

Add more liquid if clay is too dry.

Add one or two drops of the essential oil (this step is optional).

Keep mask on for 15 minutes.

Remove with a heated towel (you can warm the towel with a few drops of the essential oils in the microwave, but ensure towel is not too hot).

7. Fruit Juice Acne Mask

Strawberry and lemon juice have natural astringents, getting into the clogged pores and leaving your face cleaner and drier. This mask feels great, smells great and is easy and cheap. Win-win!

What you'll need:

1/2 tsp lemon juice

1 egg white

1.5 tsp honey

1/2 cup strawberries

Optional: 2 drops of your fave essential oils

Instructions

Mash or combine the above ingredients.



Smooth over face, using a spatula or your fingers.



Leave mask on for 10 minutes and remove with cold water. Pat dry. As with most masks it's a good idea to proceed with a moisturizer as pores will be open and moisturizer will be in a position to penetrate further into the skin. This will also replenish any lost beneficial moisture.



6. Calming Oatmeal Cucumber Mask

Oatmeal is an age-old remedy for acne. The oats draw out extra moisture from the skin and softens at the same time. The cucumber calms irritated skin, while the apple containing salicylic acid will act as an anti-inflammatory. This acne mask will provide help to reduce rosiness, draw out oil and pimples and leave skin soft.

Supplies:

- 1/2 cup finely ground Oatmeal
- 1/2 ripe Apple
- 1/4 Cucumber
- 2 big spoons Milk

Preparation:

Cut the apple and cucumber in pieces and put them together with all of the ingredients in a blender mixing well until you have got an even mixture.

smooth out evenly over your face using your fingertips. leave the mask on for about 20 minutes.

Remove mask with warm water and end with a dash of cold. Pat your skin dry with a clean towel.

5. Simply Papaya and Honey Lightening Mask

This mask is extraordinary as it can really help lighten sun spots and uneven colouration in the skin caused by acne scars. The papaya works as a mild bleaching agent while also moisturizing, leaving skin smooth to the touch. This mask is also blissfully simple and easy to prepare. For best results use this mask 2-3 times weekly.

Supplies

cup blended papaya

2 tbsp honey

To Prepare:

Mix papaya and honey and smooth over face uniformly using fingertips.

Leave on for 15-20 minutes and carefully wash off with a splash of cool water.

Chase up with a quality moisturising cream for most impressive results.



4.Peach Zeal Soothing Mask


This mask does one or two good things for your skin. The peach gives moisture, improves elasticity and the overall look of skin and feels incredibly relaxing. Sodium bicarbonate has been employed for decades to deal with acne because it's a great cleanser, removing build-up from pores, and an excellent exfoliator too , reducing the appearance of acne scars. And the yogurt firms, moisturizes and soothes skin. With so many nice things in one mask this will quickly become a top favourite.

Ingredients:

1 fresh peach

1 tsp of baking soda

2 tbsp of plain yogurt

Preparation:

Soften the fresh peach and blend with bread soda and yogurt.

Spread blend evenly on skin, avoiding the eyes.

Leave on for about 15 minutes and rinse with cold water. Pat dry and follow up with a good moisturiser.

3. Blackhead Blaster Mask

This mask is a blackhead's worst nightmare. The ingredients used can be bought at most health food shops or drug stores. Benzoin is a powder that can improve the skin's flexibility, reduce inflammation, irritation and redness. Fuller's earth is an herb in powder form that forms a clay-like mix. It is utilized as a lightener and oil absorber. Witch hazel hydrosol is the pharmacy's distillation of the famous healing herb. It's an all-around acne fighter- calming, drying, cleansing, removing oil and dirt, and is a powerful antioxidant enhancing the overall look and health of skin.

What you'll need

1/2 cup fuller's earth

1 tsp. Tincture of benzoin

2 drops witch hazel hydrosol

Instructions:

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir thoroughly.

Apply the mix to your skin using fingertips to even out.

Leave on for 30-40 minutes to permit it to firm.

Soak a small rag in hot water and lay it across your face.

When the mask starts to soften up, carefully rub it with the cloth in a circular motion.

Rinse with plenty of warm water. Finish up with a good moisturizer to replace lost beneficial moisture.

2. Cleansing Tumeric Acne Mask

Tumeric is a well-known tried and tested acne fighter. It can ease inflammation, redness and irritation, improve blood flow and act as an antiseptic washing the skin and getting rid of dangerous bacteria. This is simply a good old style acne cleansing mask, effective and easy.

Supplies

- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 big spoon Oatmeal flour
- 1 tablespoon Lentil powder
- Mineral Water

Instructions:

Mix ingredients and gently add water till you have got a smooth paste that sticks to your face without it running off.

Smooth out the paste gradually and evenly on your clean face using your fingertips keeping clear of the eye area. Leave the mask on for about 15-20 minutes.

Prepare a cup of green tea and let it stand for a minute or two to cool.

Boil the carrots in some water till they are soft enough to mash.

Warm up the honey till it starts to become liquidy.

Blend the cooled tea, honey, carrot, pineapple and tea tree oil in a blender. Blend till even.

Using a cloth apply the mixture evenly over your clean face, avoiding the eye area. Leave the mask on for about 15-20 minutes.

Wash off alternating between cold and luke-warm water, ending with a touch of cold to shut the pores. Chase up with a quality moisturizing cream.
