Acne is caused by the blocking of follicles in the skin's surface. This causes an increase of oils under the skin, regularly emerging into blackheads or whiteheads. This is the common kind of acne, often starting in adolesence due to an increase in hormones known for causing follicle blockages. There are lots of one hundred percent natural ingredients that can reduce and ease acne symptoms.

Common over-the-counter medicinal ingredients such as aspirin and vitamin B are known to dry up acne.

Natural astringents from essential oils like tea tree oil, lavender oil and witch hazel are known to ease swelling and soothe irritated skin.

Clay and mud is wonderful for oily/acne skin as it absorbs oil from skin's surface and leaves the face soft and pliable.

Natural Anti-inflammitories like lavender and rosewater can ease red, puffy conditions due to acne

Some vegetables and fruit are rich in acne fighting chemicals like salicylic acid. Fruit with acne fighting benefits are : strawberries, pineapples, apples, carrots, cucumber, lemon, papaya, orange and tomato.
