Will The Different Body Detox Methods Help Acne Treatment When Alternatives Come To Nothing?

By Eugene Yeng

Those who suffer from acne can spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on different treatments for it. These treatments usually come in the form of expensive lotions or medication, but unfortunately cannot give any guaranteed results so will the different body detox methods help acne treatment?

Chemicals found in everyday things such as non organic food, non filtered water, pollution and even ordinary household products can contain harmful substances in them, that when in the body are known as toxins. The body naturally detoxes itself in an attempt to get rid of these toxins.

When the body does not have sufficient nutrition levels, this can cause the natural process to deteriorate and toxins will start to build up. When these toxins accumulate, it will trigger an imbalance of hormones which results in acne.

It is a popular alternative method used to treat acne and its way of flushing the system to get rid of toxins and other bad bacteria, is said to be very effective. One of the reasons this method is thought to be so successful is because it works at the cause from inside the body, unlike creams and cleansers that treat it at skin level.

The practice of detoxing usually involves some form of fasting or a very limited diet that consist of mainly liquids and very little solid food but here are certain foods that can actually help the process. In their raw form; fruits, vegetables, beans, seeds and nuts all contain a lot of fiber and nutrients, which help cleanse the system. You should always avoid red meat, dairy, caffeine, tobacco and alcohol. These things will all contribute towards a poor digestive system and more toxins. Using a sauna or steam room would also have a positive effect, as the body can sweat out toxins this way as well.

There are places where you can go to get assistance and guidance whilst detoxing. These centers are created especially for the purpose but can be quite expensive and many people choose to it at home instead to save time as well as money.

People who have not done it before should always check specialist books and online for the best methods and advice before starting out, as there can be risks involved. You can start to prepare your body by replacing some meals with fruits or fresh juices or smoothies, then cut out more as and when you are ready to do so. Whilst detoxing is its very important to remember to keep hydrated by drinking lots of water. This will also dilute the toxins and they will flush through the system more quickly.

Symptoms or side effects of this treatment can include tiredness, low energy levels, sickness, headaches, mood swings and even bad breath.

Although detoxing is well known for its effectiveness, some people would criticize that it is only a temporary solution. This is due to the fact that it would be difficult to maintain a detox diet for an extended period of time and returning to a regular diet could lead to another build up of toxins causing the acne to possibly causing the can to return.
