Natural Treatments For Acne For Exceptional Overall Health

By Emma Madison

We're all trained to want a simple cure for every problem, such as acne, to come in a bottle. You don't have to smother your skin in these products in order to have smooth and clear skin. You should consider making some easy changes to your lifestyle, and try natural cures for acne that may provide lasting results.

One of the easiest and natural ways to clear your skin is to wash your face two times a day. Many know this already, but not all follow through. The skin produces oil which in turn acts like a glue for dirt, clogging pores. Apart from this step, this dirt will lead to clogged pores/acne.

This fact is why washing 2 times a day with an unscented, mild facial cleanser is critical. The store shelves are loaded down with many varieties that work well. Using a soft, clean cloth to dry off afterward is also a super important element. Gently pat dry your face, and do not rub your skin as many do. Treat your skin gently to avoid irritation.

One of the natural cures for acne for the ladies is simply to use water-based cosmetics. Oil-based products will worsen the problem complexion. When you use any makeup, it's important to wash it off as you go to bed. Be sure to clean, tone and moisturize your face as part of your nightly regimen, to be sure you clear away all the build up of oil and dirt.

Even though you may not find this convenient, depending on your needs, try to avoid those places where your skin is exposed to high amounts of dust and dirt. If you can't, then you must wash your face immediately following exposure.

Many folks have trouble with this next tip: avoid touching your face. This only transfers dirt from your fingers to your face. For that reason alone, if you simply don't touch your face, you'll do well.

Another on the natural cures for acne list is keeping the face clear of any loose hair, insofar as you are able. Shampooing the hair on a regular cycle also helps. The scalp can be a culprit in causing acne as it also produces oil. When a hair falls from the scalp to the face, this oil is introduced to the skin and may cause acne.

Of course, you have heard it said that drinking water is good for you - this is especially true in curing acne. Drink up! This helps your body to do what it needs to in order to get rid of harmful toxins and waste that lead to acne. Drink lots of water in order to keep healthy and clear skin.
