Hot Tips To Get Rid Of Stubborn Acne

By Kelly Brockner

Acne is a skin condition which affects more than the skin. Although it affects other areas of the body besides the face, it is usually concentrated there. It usually starts in the early teen years at a time when young people are the most vulnerable to image issues.

Find effective ways to keep stress out of your life. Stress definitely ruins the skin, and when you are the most stressed out, you can find severe breakouts that are difficult to handle. Find ways to keep this stress from having such an influence by using methods of kicking it to the curb.

Consider an oil-free, non-acnegenic moisturizer to help you battle dry skin on your entire body without causing pimples to appear. The best time to apply moisturizer is as soon as you step out of the tub or shower. Because your skin already has water all over it, using the moisturizer will lock it in.

If your acne is driving you crazy, try a fenugreek mask. Mix mashed fresh fenugreek leaves with warm water until it forms a paste. Leave it on your face for twenty to thirty minutes and remove by rinsing with more warm water. This treatment will not only help with your acne, but is also said to prevent wrinkles.

When struggling with acne, try to remember that it is a problem that many people have. Adult acne can be especially trying, as we often do not associate adults with acne. However, if you are prone to acne you will probably have acne throughout your life. Finding a good skin care routine and maintaining a positive attitude when you have acne issues is the key to dealing with the psychological effects acne has on adults.

If your skin is extremely sensitive and dries out with commercial cleansers, try washing your face only with warm water to prevent acne outbreaks or other skin conditions. If you wear makeup, you may still need a gentle soap or makeup remover but follow up the use of any chemicals with plain water to remove the chemicals from your skin.

Be aware of the ingredients in commercial health supplements. Many health supplements are full of fillers and chemicals that can trigger acne outbreaks in some people. If you think that a certain supplement might be contributing to your acne, stop taking it for a couple of weeks and see if your skin condition improves.

If you find your acne is extremely painful or feels like it's burning, reach for a cup of chamomile tea. Steep a bag of tea and then allow the bag to cool but not dry out. Dab tea on your face using a cotton ball, and hold the bag on any pimples you wish to dry out.

Skin problems such as acne in the teen years causes many young people to develop a poor self image. There are medications which can help, but they usually do not completely cure the condition. Most of the time it is just a matter of age, and time will take care of it.
